Project Overview

Produced in collaboration with Acted, this short documentary focuses on a dedicated farmer in Jordan's Madaba Governorate. The film captures his journey of adopting modern, water-saving agricultural techniques. Through interviews and on-site footage, the video details how receiving essential equipment such as cocopeat, polystyrene trays, and soil salinity meters and specialized training enabled a shift from traditional ground planting to highly efficient strawberry cultivation and improved business management.

The AE Films Approach

Capturing agricultural stories requires adapting to unpredictable field conditions while maintaining a high cinematic standard. Our production team utilized an intimate, character-led documentary approach on location in Madaba. We focused on authentic, hands-on b-roll highlighting the newly acquired equipment, the precise new methods of harvesting and packaging strawberries, and the lush environment of the farm. By combining crisp, natural lighting with high-quality audio recording of the farmer's testimony, we ensured this personal story of growth and gratitude took center stage.
